The purpose of this page is to inform people in the neighborhood of Gray Sales about the plans to develop the site, and what we can and are doing to make it a development that the neighborhood and developers can live with. To make sure this happens, it is vital that everyone stay involved and informed.
The meeting with the developers originally scheduled for April 11 has been postponed because the developers did not have sketches ready for the neighborhood meeting. The developers said they will have sketches ready by April 10; we will have a neighborhood meeting to discuss their proposals after April 19.
Michael Raskin and Paula Garbarino have put together a package of information to guide the developers to design a development which is compatible with the character of our neighborhood. It includes pictures of developments made by the developers in other neighborhoods, so we can see what we might be able to expect the planned development will look like. I have converted the package into a web-friendly form, leaving the content untouched. I have provided links to some highlights, or you can browse the package from the beginning by selecting the Statement of Purpose link. Note that the pictures (taken by Paula) are saved as jpegs and are best viewed at thousands of colors (16 bit color) or greater.
