These are examples of large new buildings that work on a human scale. Vertical separations articulate individual dwellings; horizontal separations break down the scale and mass of the building. It's well proportioned. The varied planes of the roof, inset multiple window panes, depth of the roof overhang, and the sizable trim, all de-emphasize the mass of the building. The open picket fence is a nice transition zone. The landscaping is attractive. |
