Date: Thu, 19 Jun 1997 10:08:31 -0400 To: pippin@cybercom.net From: Ron Newman Subject: Cybercom is still not complying with our agreement Cc: John_Maconga@pscboston.com Message-Id: In the letter that we both signed on June 3rd, we agreed that "web forwarding" would be arranged so that any attempt to access *any* URL beginning with http://www.cybercom.net/~rnewman/scientology/ would reach a page directing the user to the new location of my "Scientology vs. the Net" web site, and that any attempt to access *any* other URL beginning with http://www.cybercom.net/~rnewman/ would reach a page directing the user to the new location of my home page. Cybercom is stil not complying fully with this agreement. Here are examples of URLs that result in a 404 "Not Found" error, instead of being directed to a forwarding page: http://www.cybercom.net/~rnewman/Good-Netkeeping-Seal http://www.cybercom.net/~rnewman/scientology/harass/writers.txt http://www.cybercom.net/~rnewman/scientology/anon/penet.html http://www.cybercom.net/~rnewman/scientology/usenet/cancel.html I cannot withdraw my complaint in Cambridge Superior Court until Cybercom complies *fully* with our agreement. You and Cybercom could be found in default, and liable for damages, if the complaint remains on file and you have not replied to it within the required 20 days. Since the complaint was filed on Friday, May 23rd, that deadline has now expired. You should be able to easily comply with our agreement by consulting the following page of Apache web server documentation: How to redirect an entire server or directory to a single URL http://www.apache.org/docs/misc/howto.html I hope to hear from you soon.
