FACTNET is an electronic library, which gathers and collates information on psychological thought reform tactics, and co-ercive measures. It is an archive of information. That's all. So why the hell raid us? UNLESS there was something in that information that is TRUE. Because if the information contained in FACTNet archives was false, there really wouldn't be any need to do all this frantic raiding, now would there? One could just laugh, and say, oh, that information is a load of rubbish. But the persistent raids on FACTNet directors, and the continued efforts to shut down FACTNet which is a Public Library and Archive, show that the RTC are afraid of what information is contained within that archive. Are we, the people, just going to stand aside and let them get away with this OUTRIGHT SUPPRESSION of freedom of information? Are we, the people, going to just stand aside and let ONE monopoly get away with exploiting the Law as a means to silencing FACTNet? WHY do Scientology FEAR FACTNet so much? This was the response to the assault on them in Germany, and it was funded by a grant from the International Association of Scientologists. On page 59 of the book, they call on people to REPORT HATE CRIMES, and then give addresses for people to write to - that is, hate crimes against Scientology and Scientologists, as "a minority in Germany". These are the addresses: United Nations Commission on Human Rights Palais des Nations CH-1211 Geneva 10 European Commission and Court of Human Rights Postal Box 431 R6 F-67006 Strasbourg Cedex, France Now, what all this boils down to: We have here, before our very eyes, witnessed blatant attacks on freedom of speech, freedom of information, and freedom of opinion. We have PROOF of the raid on first, Dennis, then Anon.penet.fi, then Arnie, and then Bob and Larry, and FACTNet premises. This is our side of the story. Send it to the above addresses. Tell everyone you know about it, and get them to tell everyone they know. Word-of-mouth is ultimately more powerful than the mass media. So, you don't need to stick your necks out and risk getting raided, or sued. RTC will counter: freedom of speech is being used against Scientologists, to generate hatred. So, save any posts you can of Dead-Agent attacks on key critics. Sure, the critics here have espoused a lot of hate, but the Church representatives have slipped on numerous occasions - they are not innocent of hatred. In your letters, STRESS that you are NOT hateful of individuals that practice Scientology (if you are, well, then, don't bother to write, as you're obviously not concerned about human rights), but have a strong objection to the TACTICS of the Church used to silence ANY questioning, analysis, or criticism of the Church of Scientology . People have a RIGHT to have access to the information contained in the FACTNet library, and they have the RIGHT to make up their own minds about Scientology. Write now, with evidence, all you have witnessed, and all you are concerned about. It is now TIME for the human spirit to stand up and say NO to the silencing of critics.
